Averna Global Candidate Privacy Notice 

By applying for an open position at our company, you are consenting to the collection and processing of any Personal Data contained in your application by Averna Technologies Inc. and its affiliates (collectively “Averna”, “we”, “us”, and “our”). Your Personal Data is collected and processed for the purpose of managing our recruitment-related activities and with the goal of entering into an employment relationship with you.  

Your Personal Data will only be used in accordance with this Privacy Notice, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Averna takes reasonable steps to ensure that collection and processing remains limited, relevant, and specific to the purposes expressed herein. We may amend this Privacy Notice at any time, and we advise you to consult it on a regular basis to ensure you stay informed.  

Type of Personal Data we Collect and Process: Any Personal Data you choose to share with us when applying, and any Personal Data captured as part of Averna’s recruitment process. Examples include your contact details, CV or resume, cover letter or right to work status (work visa or permit for example) and information from phone screenings or interviews, if any. We may also collect information from third parties, such as recruitment agencies, or publicly available social media platforms, such as LinkedIn. To the extent permitted by law, we may also compile information from reference or background checks, or from conducting appropriate evaluations or tests during our hiring process.   

Why we process your Personal Data: To identify and hire talent as part of our recruitment related activities.  

Averna may also wish to retain your Personal Data to consider you for future employment opportunities based on your consent, which we will ask of you during our recruitment process.   

How we share your Personal Data: Averna operates globally. During our recruitment activities, we may share or transfer your Personal Data internally within Averna entities, as well as with other Averna employees located outside of the country from which you applied. Your Personal Data may also be shared with current or future service providers involved in our recruitment process, such as our applicant tracking system provider or background check agencies. 

We may also disclose your Personal Data to third parties where it is in our legitimate interest to do so, such as to a potential buyer of Averna or to government-related agencies and instances where we are under a duty to disclose or share your Personal Data to comply with a legal obligation. 

Averna does not carry out profiling activities and does not make decisions regarding you by automated means.  

Your data privacy rights: You have the right to request access to your Personal Data, and to request that it be rectified or erased. You have the right to data portability and the right to object. You further have the right to request that the processing of your Personal Data be restricted. At any time, you have the right to withdraw any consent given to Averna regarding your Personal Data if it was being processed based on your consent.

Data retention: Averna retains your Personal Data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, or for as long as we are required to do so by law or to comply with a regulatory obligation. 

If you ultimately enter an employment relationship with Averna, you will be provided with our Global Employee Privacy Policy.
