URT Signal Generator – Key Features
NEW: 3x50 MHz Record & Playback
Precision GNSS technology leaders must develop extremely accurate GPS devices so that surveying, construction, and farming equipment can be tightly controlled, sometimes in demanding environmental conditions, while operating for longer hours. New wideband capabilities of up to 150 MHz in the Averna RF Signal Record & Playback can now help GPS developers capture the entire spectrum of GPS L1, L2, L5 and GLONASS L1, L2, L3 signals in the field, with a view to building more comprehensive test libraries to fine-tune their devices against real world signals—in the lab.

Improved Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
The Averna Record & Playback features an updated AGC loop that efficiently eliminates discontinuities in gain variation. Radio and GPS testers can accelerate and improve test results using four new parameters to tune the AGC behaviour – power rate increase/decrease (dB/s) and gain up/down (dB).
Other Features and Improvements
RF Player & Recorder
- Now includes a system self-test feature verifying the synchronization between Record & Playback platform channels.
- A new external triggering mechanism is available when using multi-channel recording mode.
Multimedia Remote Player and Recorder
- A new tool converts Averna GPS log files to the Google Earth KML file format. This tool allows users to display recorded geographical paths in the Google Earth interface.
- Improved Multimedia Logger file management
