This paper introduces the RF Signal Record & Playback System (R&P) applied to Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) RF signals. A series of tests were performed in order to validate the R&P system in the presence of GPS L1 signals. It is expected that the R&P system presented is perfectly suitable for GNSS stand-alone receiver testing and validation. The methodology, test results, and analysis are presented in the subsequent sections. Emphasis is placed on the degradation of position and velocity estimates due to recording and playback processing. The raw data is also processed to enforce the analysis.
