TMC over RDS Toolkit

Averna's Traffic Message Channel (TMC) Software Toolkit is the first TMC generator on the market specifically designed for GPS testing purposes. Using Averna's RDS 1-Channel Toolkit to generate complete FM-RDS signals, TMC frames are added to groups 3 and 8 of the RDS frames.

The toolkit's software architecture allows the user to easily configure the most common parameters from switches or pull-down menus. TMC parameters such as transmission characteristics, tuning information, single or multi-group messages and the location's encryption parameters can all be configured from the intuitive interface.

To assist in performing automated tasks such as manufacturing tests, the toolkit includes custom step types for straightforward integration with NI TestStand™. Moreover, an Application Programming Interface (API) is also available for integration with other applications. Therefore, it is possible to integrate the TMC toolkit into an automated program where different messages are being sent at a given time, fully emulating a TMC broadcaster.
