NAVASIM NAVigation Advanced SIMulator
Using a dynamic car model, the generated vehicle trajectory accelerates and decelerates when coming to a corner or merging/exiting on roads with different posted speeds. Stops may be inserted, and the vehicle speed may be changed to a custom value or kept at the map default value. The complete trajectory is then saved as an NMEA file, which can be exported for use in Averna's G-SIM toolkit. The GPS signal, using an ephemeris file, is generated in real-time and the RF signal is produced by a Vector Signal Generator.
For complete navigation testing, TMC events may be created using standardized location tables during scenario-creation. When the GPS signal is generated, the TMC RF signal is also generated in real-time on a second Vector Signal Generator. For testing additional functionalities such as a CAN bus or rotary table, APIs for LabVIEW and C/C++ are available, expanding the capabilities of this toolkit.
