GPS Constellation Manufacturing Test Simulator

As opposed to the GPS Single-Satellite Manufacturing Test Simulator, the GPS Constellation Manufacturing Test Simulator emulates the complete constellation for a specific location and time. A navigation system can then repeatedly lock to any arbitrary position.

The composite signal is generated in offline mode and stored on a hard disk as a standard Windows™ file. By repeating the same simulation file for the same type of GPS receiver, the same Time To First Fix (TTFF) can be achieved, ensuring better quality and repeatable testing.

For greater ease of use, the receiver's initial position can either be defined in the Earth Centered, Earth Fixed (ECEF) or Longitude, Latitude, and Altitude (LLA) formats via the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Additionally, defining the receiver's speed in ECEF format can simulate dynamic scenarios. Files from 1 to 25 frames can be created. During simulation, the total RF power can be updated to simulate attenuations, as are often present in real-world situations. The net result is one of the most easy-to-use GPS L1-C/A constellation simulators available on the market.
