G-SIM Advanced GPS Constellation Simulator

To validate products more thoroughly, this toolkit can be used as a standalone GPS constellation simulator or as a complement to NAVASIM during GPS receiver design validation. By allowing the user to choose the desired satellites, modify power levels for each of them, add ionospheric and tropospheric delays and choose between ephemeris and almanac files, receivers may be tested in a plethora of conditions.

For tests complementary to NAVASIM, receiver trajectory can be determined by any scenario created and exported as a NMEA file. While NAVASIM addresses navigation and traffic messaging testing, G-SIM focuses on GPS signal testing. Without NAVASIM, trajectories can be created easily using the GUI cursor or by entering Google Earth coordinates.

  • Compatible with trajectories created in NAVASIM
  • Choice of static, linear, or elliptical trajectories using Google Earth or the GUI cursor
  • Selection of ephemeris or almanac files
  • GPS L1 C/A constellation for up to 12 satellites
  • GPS compliant with ICD200c
  • Tropospheric and ionospheric delays
  • Custom satellite power
  • Unlimited setups for save and recall
  • Continuous wave transmission
  • Custom date and time transmission
  • Navigational data: 50 Hz built-in patterns Application in LabVIEW™ can easily be integrated with NI TestStand™
