Capable of generating analog and digital public radio signals

Based on National Instrument's PXI product line, this universal solution is capable of generating analog and digital public radio signals compliant with the most common standards in use worldwide. It includes software kits for many available signal types such as AM/FM, RDS, Sirius, XM, DAB, IBOC and GPS.

The system ships with National Instruments (NI) runtime modules equipped with an intuitive interface for taking manual measurements. Complete suites of automated tests can easily be created using NI's TestStand Test Management Software or via other WindowsTM application using the API provided.

GPS L1 signal can be recorded and played back without degradation of the C/N of the satellites received. A one-satellite simulator is available for manufacturing test. Traffic Message Channel on the various broadcast medium such as RDS, Sirius, XM and HD radio are supported. The Japanese standard VICS can be supported on the DARC S/W toolkit.

All digital signals such as ATSC, DVB-T, ISDB-T can be recorded with very little degradation. Standard generation available include analog NTSC/PAL and Digital DMB.

The Averna RF Signal Record & Playback system is the only RF recording system with an AGC that can handle strong or weak signal without any manual adjustment. The RF power is continuously measured during recording and the RF player will play back the signal with the same power as it was recorded.
