Sales Engineer (Montreal and Toronto)

The sales engineer reports to the vice president of sales and marketing and is responsible for achieving specific technical sales activities.

Responsibilities and main tasks:

  • To prepare for and participate in client meetings
  • Prepare and develop demos for client presentations
  • Evaluate and develop new markets
  • Evaluate client needs and refer clients to the engineering department for budgetary evaluations and proposal writing
  • Participate in and prepare trade show events
  • Solicit clients by phone

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar position an asset 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (MBA is an asset)
  • Ability to bridge-build easily with new clients
  • Creativity, autonomy, diplomacy, and open-mindedness
  • A proactive instinct
  • Great listening and analytical skills
  • Solid business and negotiating skills
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to manage stress and pressure efficiently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Superior verbal and written skills in English and French
  • Available and able to travel in the USA
  • Open to travel up to 50% of job time if needed
  • Driver’s license is required
