Business Development Representative (Montreal and Toronto)
Reporting to the director of sales and marketing, the business development representative is responsible for increasing sales and new clients, and for maintaining relationships with existing clients.
Responsibilities and main tasks:
- To develop new client pools
- Manage the complete sales cycle
- Evaluate client needs and refer clients to the engineering department for budgetary evaluations and proposal writing
- Collaborate closely with partners to generate leads and prepare joint proposals
- Inform clients about our solutions
- Ensure client satisfaction throughout project lifecycle
- Maintain proximity to clients and communicate their concerns to operations, engineering, and finance, and ensure adequate responsiveness
- Update sales data
- Remain in constant communication with the director of sales and marketing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or administration (MBA is an asset)
- 3–5 years experience in technical service sales
- Knowledge of and experience in Montreal/Toronto markets
- Experience in either the telecom, aerospace, transport, or automotive industries
- Ability to bridge-build easily with new clients
- Creativity, autonomy, diplomacy, and open-mindedness
- A proactive instinct
- Great listening and analytical skills
- Capacity to develop tactical plans and mobilize them
- Solid business and negotiating skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to change
- Ability to manage stress effectively
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word (MICROSOFT CRM an asset)
- Superior verbal and written skills in English (French an asset for Toronto, a necessity for Montreal)
